The 7” Padua with Android door entry monitor is compatible with the Comelit IP video entry system (ViP) and has a 7” touchscreen. It is based on the Android operating system (version 10) which can download third-party APPs with the same flexibility as a tablet. The APPs must be verified and certified by Comelit to ensure they are compatible and allow them to be downloaded. This flexibility offers users a device which is no longer simply a door entry monitor, but a controller for the home which can be used to manage the functions offered by other manufacturers’ systems, such as home automation control, intruder detection, building services, access to web pages and use of pre-installed APPs. The device has a LAN port as well as Wi-Fi connectivity; even independently these guarantee connection to the IP video entry system, plus the internet access required to use the installed APPs.
